Dear Islamic Center:

I am happy to inform you I have completed my American with Disabilities Act (ADA) application for Wm. C. Smith & CO. toward the goal of making sure my 3 Afghan puppies will have access to my apartment.

This will enable me to continue my original intention of keeping my Service Animals at home, and parking them OUTSIDE the mosque while I worship, and then walking & / or bicycling them home again with me when I leave the mosque just as I did for seven (7) years with my ADA K-9 ‘Big Wig’, also known as, ‘Calipha’ (before I knew brother Calipha’s name – because ‘Big Wig’ roughly translate into ‘The one who would lead if necessary’)

The intent of all this Dawa outreach effort is to amplify the love Americans have for the Afghan puppies to heal the wounds of war between Afghanistan and the US, and further to inspire Americans to extend the Smithsonian National Green Belt Cultural mall to create a Dwight D. Eisenhower style interstate highway system style network – but for pedestrians and families with outdoor and indoor work for one and all.

Further, the three Afghan hounds, Betsy, Mekkah, and Karzi, will be traveling nationally and internationally with me, in sha lah, so the sod dog run may be vacant for significant periods of time, but perhaps three lambs could be grazed there when we are away toward the goal of teaching the haddith of Islamic wisdom about animal husbandry.

Toward the goal of providing a safe, and healthy environment in which to park the dogs while I worship, I have ordered 500 square feet of Kentucky Blue Grass sod to cover the dirt area by the dumpster so the puppies will not ingest any scrap metal, etc. while parked.

Further I have American Kennel Club approved fencing ready to put up around the sod to protect the puppies. And chain link fence to put under the sod to prevent digging out, or in.

As you may know, one puppy, Karzi, was recently stolen and then returned by some over-zealous neighborhood boys and an adult in a van.

My ADA Application was faxed to Ana Channnell of Wm C. Smith & CO on Friday but failed to successfully send, so it was re-faxed today, Sunday.

On Tuesday, May 29, I will phone you to verify the status, in sha lah.

The puppies were vaccinated and given a clean bill of health by the Friendship Animal Hospital on Monday, May 21st.

I apologize for not being better organized and having less time between events.

I have spent over $15,000 on this [^] project so far with more expenses for training and travel yet to come.

My Grandmother, Dorothy Long, helped to found the US Dogs for Defense program during World War II. The collies from her Noranda Kennels were famous world wide and preceded the television show, “Lassie” and the movie, “Lassie Come Home”

The ability of well trained and loving animals to capture the hearts of Americans and people world wide is well proven. Already Betsy, Mekkah, and Karzi, accept wudu ablution being administered to them.

They are learning ‘haj’ is forward. ‘hijira’ is backwards, ‘Salat’ is stay, and ‘Ramadan’ is to stop.

Thank you for bearing with me.

In many Islamic areas, the lack of sewer and water, the presence of wild dogs, and logic of hygiene demand that dogs be kept well away from people. I have tried to respect this logic while at the same time employing the logic of cleanliness taught to be by parents and Grandparents regarding dogs, horses, and other animals.

We worship Allah Who creates and sustains ALL worlds – Alhumdullilah rabiel alameen

By bringing dogs, horses, cats, and birds, and what other animals into the story of Islam, and their comprehension of the qibla and other basic concepts and commands, and their prayer lines and Imam (leaders) – we can make Islam a fuller, richer, explanation of the reality children want to explore.

Thank you for your support.

Truly,

haji Mohammed Abubkr Omar, aka, W. Hale.

re: 1. What do you want to do? 2.What do you want to do that who will not let you do?

Two kinds of problems:

When the only barrier to success is your own organizational skills

1. What do you want to do?
2. What do you want who to do so you can do what you want to do?

When the barrier to success includes whom prohibiting you from doing what you think you have the right to do.

1. What do you want to do that who will not let you do?
2. Why do you think you have the right to do it?
3. What do you want who to do so you can do what who will not let you do?
