Luxury goods vs. necessities

The problem with cutting taxes for the rich is that they don’t spend as much proportionally as the middle and lower income types do. If you have 100,000 rich people buying a car or a fridge, you sell 100,000 units. The other 300,000,000 people can’t afford to buy anything now but if they got a break on taxes and only 10% of them bought a car or fridge the number of sales would be 30,000,000 units sold. That would put people back to work faster than waiting for “rich” people to start a new business or invest in anything in America.
