Not sure how this error message came up this time. Don’t’ recall having sent an email yet. Perhaps simply because “other’ was checked in the “How do you know…” field?

Invitations & Connecting

Connecting to someone on LinkedIn implies that you know them well:

They’ll have access to people you know
Others may ask you about them and vice versa
You’ll get updates on their activity
LinkedIn lets you invite colleagues, classmates, friends and business partners without entering their email addresses.

However, recipients can indicate that they don’t know you. If they do, you’ll be asked to enter an email address with each future invitation.

SECOND EDIT:
So now, what needs to know is can I waive the need to know my email address, or make my email address public in my profile?

The only way who can afford to know me publicly is to come as one of the least of us.

But, then does that risk the security of the whole system? Will so many people be linked to one person.. Well, they should be able to control… yeah they can make sure ho needs to know their email address to even knock on their door.
