TOKYO — World finance officials called on the United States and Europe to quickly resolve their debt problems, saying on Saturday that more decisive action was needed to restore confidence in the faltering global economy.

Christine Lagarde, the director of the International Monetary Fund, speaks during a news conference at the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group in Tokyo on Saturday.
In a communiqué at the end of a three-day meeting here in Tokyo, the members of the International Monetary Fund warned that global growth was slowing as the persistent debt crises in developed countries dragged down growth in emerging markets.

Barbarians who know only ‘take’ are at the financial gates of civilization testing if whose system really is a 100% consistent, unbiased rational method of allocating resources fairly, or is in fact simply a traditional, biased, inconsistent system based upon who knew whom – but with the uprising surge of new products and services and players, that method is no longer tenable because too many players want to be in real markets. A) who does not know how to provide sufficient liquidity so everyone can play, and B) who is not ready to make enough of the most basic commodities to satisfy demand for them as less fundamental products and services are demanded and supplied thereby giving purchasing power to whom so needs the fundamentals.

‘Slave’ or ‘partner’, but not ’employee’?

#415 of 416: William Hale (hinging0) Fri 05 Oct 2012 (05:34 AM)

When Job-Creation Engines Stop at Just One
By CATHERINE RAMPELL

New businesses have fewer employees than they did a decade ago, posing
a worrying trend for employment.
New Businesses Have Become Fewer, and Leaner

==========NH:
Is ’employee’ an outdated concept? Is the middle ground of well taken
care of ’employee’ (s) that has grown up between ‘slave’ and
‘entrepreneur’ or partner vanishing? Are people expected to take care
of / fend for themselves as education improves and the bottom line
becomes more and more independent of local community well being?

xref: “Walk softly and carry a big stick,” – a big INSURED stick.
Health insurance to take care of societies made ill by rulers who are
not required to carry liability insurance is what we now have. We need
license, registration, and insurance on the big sticks of the world so
when any are misused those harmed are compensated

You’ll see chronic unemployment. We’ve had 43 straight months with
unemployment above 8 percent.

In fact, it’s called “Unemployment insurance”.

If I’m elected we won’t have Obama. We’ll put in place the kind of
principles that I put in place in my own state and allow each state to
craft their own programs to get people insured and we’ll focus on
getting the cost of health care down.

========NH:
The problem with this is getting sufficiently large pools of people to
spread the risk over a wide enough population so everyone pays a low
premium and enough people stay healthy to cover those who get sick.

“Direct to God, or ask for the pet department?”

Dear Bangor Daily News Publisher:

Please advise me as to why my classified ad was refused and my classified ad account closed.

The ad was placed as follows:

Afghan

6 Months, Male & Female, Health Certificate. 1 (M) 2 (F) well loved.
Bicycle friendly. Need open field, off leash exercise. 10′ X 20′ X 6′
portable fencing provided. Work with me to train these 3 ADA obesity
reduction service animals. Monthly duty rotation: 2 stay with u while I
travel with 1 $500

Thursday I left a message with your receptionist regarding the decision by your classified ad department to not run my ad, and further to close my classified ad account.

Today’s “For Better or for Worse” comic strip, which may still be Canadian based, reminded me of my concern for getting no reason why, or request for clarification, from your classified division as to why my ad was not run and my classified ad account closed – nor have I gotten the promised call back from Mr. McCloud’s office, as far as I know; xref: “For Better or For Worse” mention of “the pet department”

I want to advertise my seminar “Training you to train your dog” at the Turner Library in Presque Isle, Monday, 17, Sept. 2012 at noon and again at 6 pm. Also I want to advertise for two roommates in regards to a house for rent / sale. My inability to do so is causing me harm.

Our President of the United States, Barack Obama, has stated he has a communion-i-cations problem, and perhaps I do also, but it’s difficult for me to do anything about it when I am given no reason and denied service as if I were the wrong color to use whose drinking fountain; xref: the civil rights movement of the 1960’s.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

Recapitalization of ALL US balance sheets both public and private VS. Piece-meal asset purchases chosen in secret by paternalistic decision makers

Some of those analysts expect that group, the Federal Open Market Committee, to announce a new round of asset purchases, further expanding its holdings of Treasury securities and mortgage-backed securities to reduce borrowing costs and spur investment. Others expect instead it will announce its intent to keep its benchmark interest rate near zero beyond its current forecast of late 2014.

Mr. Bernanke devoted much of his speech to asset purchases. He said past rounds of purchases had produced “economically meaningful” benefits, contributing to lower borrowing costs for corporations and the general rise in stock prices. He cited one study finding the combined effect of the Fed’s three rounds of asset purchases raised output by 3 percent and increased employment by 2 million jobs.
