Over one half the weight of PVC is Chlorine. Is that right?

One molecule of PVC is CH2=CHCL, where C equals carbon, H equals hydrogen, ‘=’ equals a double bond, and Cl equals Chlorine.

When a chain of PVC if formed the double bond lends a bond to the neighboring molecule to form the chain: CH2-CHCL-CH2-CHCL-…

Carbon has an atomic number of 6 and atomic weight of 12
Hydrogen, an atomic number of 1 and atomic weight of 1
And Chlorine an atomic Number of 17 and atomic weight of 35.45
So, by weight CH2=CHCL equals 12,1,1=12,1,35.45 for a total of 27 plus 35.45 or 62.45.
Chlorine is over one half of the weight of PVC.

What weight of brine is left from the solar desalinization of what weight of fresh water?
What portion of the weight of the brine is Cl?
What is the weight of the PVC in a mile of what diameter pipe, or modular dwelling, or solar distillation still?
How much PVC per ton of distilled salt water would you get?

What would be the cost of burning or converting the dioxin byproducts of the process to they caused no harm?

SEATTLE — Dr. Richard Wesley has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the incurable disease that lays waste to muscles while leaving the mind intact. He lives with the knowledge that an untimely death is chasing him down, but takes solace in knowing that he can decide exactly when, where and how he will die.

Under Washington State’s Death With Dignity Act, his physician has given him a prescription for a lethal dose of barbiturates. He would prefer to die naturally, but if dying becomes protracted and difficult, he plans to take the drugs and die peacefully within minutes.

“It’s like the definition of pornography,” Dr. Wesley, 67, said at his home here in Seattle, with Mount Rainier in the distance. “I’ll know it’s time to go when I see it.”
